CHENGs Bibliography

Dr. Cheng, Jianwei is an associate professor in the college of safety engineering at China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT).

Prior to his appointment at CUMT on September, 2012, he finished his academic studies and received three degrees from Safety Engineering and Mining Engineering, respectively: a B.S. and an M.S. from China University of Mining and Technology, and a Ph.D. from West Virginia University (U.S.A.). He also received an associate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in 2005. In addition to being a faculty member of CUMT, he is also an Engineer-In-Training at the State of West Virginia, U.S.

Dr. Chengs research interests include: coal mine ventilation system design and its assessment, mine accident rescue strategies, mine gas explosion and prevention, etc. Currently, he performs as principle investigator (PI) for several research projects fund by the Chinese government.

Dr. Cheng is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME, since 2008) and the International Association for Fire Safety Science (IAFSS, since 2012). He was the recipient of several Chinese awards in mining (2013, 2014, 2015), Faculty Award (2010) of Mining Engineering Department at University of West Virginia and the Distinguished Graduate Award of CUMT (2008). In additional, he serves for several international journals as an editor/reviewer.

In 2015, he accepts the Australia Endeavor Research Fellowship offer and is going to lunch an international research project with collaborating with researchers from Curtin University.
